IT services for business: the seven categories
Loopback delivers seven IT services to businesses across Norway: operations and management, cloud services and licences, hosting, network and infrastructure, consultancy, web, and security. Under each of them you will find the pricing model, and what is not included – with the number of the service it belongs to instead.
The pricing model for all seven is collected on What IT operations cost: pricing model per service.

01 Operations and management
We look after the machines, the users and the updates – and we answer when something stops.
- Ongoing
Service agreement and user support for business
- INCLUDES
- Service agreements, user support, monitoring, updates and patching – closing known holes in the software – and on-site work, that is, work carried out at your premises.
- NOT HERE
- 05 Consultancy
- ALSO NOT HERE
- 02 Cloud services and licences
- PRICING MODEL
- A fixed amount per user or device per month.
The response time is agreed in the service agreement, with numbers and a service window – that is, the hours the agreement covers. We do not publish it here as a general promise, because it depends on what you choose – but it is written into the agreement before you sign, not into the difficult conversation afterwards. Response time is when we answer; resolution time is when it works again. The two are never mixed.
02 Cloud services and licences
The licences and cloud capacity you use, bought through us and collected on one invoice.
- Ongoing
Microsoft 365 and Azure on one invoice
- INCLUDES
- Microsoft 365, Azure and other cloud capacity, plus other software licences.

- PRICING MODEL
- A fixed amount per month per instance – one server or one website – or per plan.
DAILY BACKUP · 30 DAYS OF HISTORY · RESTORE WITHIN 4 HOURS
Backup is always described with a restore time and a retention period. Without those numbers, “backup” is just a word.
04 Network and infrastructure
The network on site: installation, firewall, VPN, wireless and cabling.
- One-off
Firewall, VPN, wireless and cabling
- INCLUDES
- Network installation, firewall, VPN – an encrypted connection for those working away from the office – wireless, cabling, and the hardware that goes with it.
- NOT HERE
- 01 Operations and management
- PRICING MODEL
- A fixed price on the delivery. Hardware goes on separate lines with purchase date and warranty period.
05 Consultancy
Our people by the hour or by project: advice, project management, migration, installation.
- One-off
IT advice, project management and migration
- INCLUDES
- Ongoing hours and fixed-price projects. The two are always kept apart in the quote.
- NOT HERE
- 01 Operations and management
- PRICING MODEL
- Hourly rate or fixed price. It always says which of the two.
Hours and fixed price are always kept apart in the quote – the risk sits with a different party in each case. How a consultancy job is run, step by step →
06 Web and digital services
The website: design and development, further development, maintenance agreement, search and content.
- Project + ongoing
Website, further development and maintenance agreement

PLAIN ENGLISH
Words we use, and words we do not
Technical terms are explained the first time they are used. If something can be said with an ordinary word, we use the ordinary word. This is not pedantry – it is why you should be able to read the invoice against the quote without calling us.
| We write | Not | Why |
|---|---|---|
| service agreement, user support, agreed response time | support, helpdesk, hotline | The word should say what you are buying, not where it rings. |
| backup with a restore time | data protection | Backup without a restore time and a retention period is just a word. |
| estimate | approx. | An estimate is labelled an estimate, with what it is based on. “Approx.” commits no one. |
| Microsoft 365 | Office | The full name the first time, then M365. |
| response time and resolution time | “fast response” | Response time is when we answer. Resolution time is when it works again. The two are never mixed. |
| website and web page | – | “Website” for the whole, “web page” for a single page. |
And two things we never write: absolute promises like “100 % uptime” or “hacker-proof”, and an uptime figure without a measurement period. Security is never sold on fear either – we sell measures against described risk.
THE BOUNDARY FINDER
What is it you actually need?
Eighteen ways of describing an IT need, in everyday words instead of jargon – and which category each of them belongs to. Type a word, for example “email”, “backup” or “firewall”, and the list filters itself.
Not sure which category it is?
That is what the scoping call is for. It takes 20–30 minutes and costs nothing.
No obligation · Confirmation with case number the same day · A person replies within one working day · The quote is valid for 30 days, prices excl. VAT
